Our teeth tend to discolour as we age; a process that is exacerbated if you consume a lot of teeth staining foods and drinks such as curries, berries, tea and coffee. Lifestyle habits like smoking also contribute to an acceleration in tooth discolouration. The good news is that this yellowing of the teeth can be reversed through a teeth whitening treatment. Given that discoloured teeth is often associated with ageing, teeth whitening treatment is a cost-effective way to give you a rejuvenated appearance.
Although there are many home whitening kits available to buy, the results of over-the-counter products are often minimal, or unpredictable. Delivered by an experienced dentist, you can be reassured that the procedure we offer is safe, effective and offers reliably impressive results. You’ll have impressions of your teeth made at our surgery so that we can create custom trays for you. Then you’ll take the trays and whitening gel home with you. Don’t leave your smile to chance. Book an appointment with us and ensure that your teeth whitening procedure is effective.
Whiter teeth can make you look younger, and give you more confidence in your appearance.
Before you have treatment, you’ll visit us for a consultation. This will allow us to assess your teeth and give you an idea of how bright they’ll be following the teeth whitening procedure. The number of oxygen ions present, as well as how long the whitening gel is in contact with your teeth, will both make a difference to the outcome.
If you avoid eating too many foods and drinks known to cause tooth staining, you can expect to maintain your whiter teeth for up to 12 months after treatment.
You’ll apply the bleaching agent to the custom-made trays that we’ll make for you, and wear it overnight in the comfort of your own home. We’ll guide you through the process when you visit us in the surgery beforehand to have impressions of your teeth made.
You can expect your teeth to be visibly whiter 5-14 days after using a home teeth whitening kit.
Teeth whitening treatment is not recommended for pregnant people. There may be other exceptions, but until you visit us for your initial consultation, we won’t be able to give you an idea of whether it’s suitable for you.
When you have your teeth whitening treatment with us, you can be reassured that we use a premium product which is both safe and effective. Your dental nerves will be protected with a barrier before applying the gel. The gel itself will be administered using a custom-made tray designed to fit comfortably in your mouth.
Before you embark on your teeth whitening treatment, you’ll first visit us for an initial consultation, during which we’ll tell you what the treatment involves. You’ll then take your custom home whitening kit home with you. We’ll provide after-care advice to ensure you maintain optimal results.
