Darren Bywater BDS, BSc (Spec Dual Hons), M.Med.Sci (Oral Surgery), DipImpDent RCS (Eng) (Adv Cert), DipRestDent RCS (Eng).

Dr Darren Bywater graduated from the Royal London Hospital in 1996 with BDS. He then embarked on a surgical and restorative training programme at the National Trauma Centre based in Stoke-on-Trent and the Charles Clifford Dental Hospital in Sheffield. It was here that Darren was awarded the Masters of Medical Science in Oral Surgery

Throughout Darren’s dental career he has developed a passion for implant and aesthetic dentistry. Consequently he embarked on a period of extended study with the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners, part of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Where he attained Diplomas both in Implant Dentistry and Restorative Dentistry, both gold standard clinical qualifications. Darren was also awarded the Advanced Certificate in Dental Implantology form the same college that recognises a candidate’s ability to carry out advanced procedures in Dental Implantology.

Darren is currently working towards the Fellowship of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners, the highest award from this educational body that recognises both high standards and commitment towards all aspects of General Dentistry, including advanced disciplines such as Implant and Restorative dentistry.

Darren’s commitment to postgraduate education has been recognised by the Royal College of Surgeons of England where he has been offered a number of prestigious positions. He has been invited to be examiners for both the Implant and Restorative Diploma, Tutor and mentor for the Implant Diploma and Practice Inspector for the Implant Diploma.

Darren’s extended postgraduate education has allowed him to treat all of his patients to a high standard of clinical care. This has involved treating patients for dental implants, restoring missing single teeth, multiple gaps with implant retained bridgework, stabilising loose dentures and aesthetic rehabilitation of patients dentition using tooth-whitening, white restorations, veneer, crown and bridgework.

Darren also has commitment to the implant education for local dentists. He provides support at all levels through one to one tuition and local study group meetings with the support of The International Team for Implantology and The Royal College of Surgeons.
